Choice #1: Do you think NASA should send a student (as opposed to only adults) into space? Why or why not?
In my opinion I think that NASA should not send a student in space for three reasons. Students are not that experienced as adults because adults went to college and they studied for years to be able to go to space. For probably 95% of students elementary and middle school can become hard at some points, really hard in fact! If those years are hard then how do you expect a student to know everything that an adult who studied for YEARS when they go up in space? Another reason why NASA should not send a student in space is that kids and teens tend to get distracted and forget to do stuff. Imagine if a student was in space and they had to fix something quickly or something with the rocket could go wrong and they got distracted with something else... it could end in disaster! I don't think that would be a good thing to happen when you are in space! Lastley I think tht students should not be sent to space becasue it would be a huge tragedy they would be too young to die and we students still have a WHOLE life ahead of us. Those are two reasons why I think that NASA should NOT send a student to space.
Choice #4: If you were selected, what personal items would you bring with you and why? Remember your locker is only 10" x 14" x 20".
If I could have a chance to go to space I would bring a small album full of pictures with my friends and family. I would bring this because my friends and family mean the world to me and I wouldn't be able to live without them! Another reason would be because my friends are always there no matter what, along with my family. Another thing I would bring is a book. Of course there would not be much time to read but that’s how it is on Earth for me! But whenever I get the chance to read I take it because I love reading and it would keep my mind working. The third thing that I would bring is a camera because I take pictures of everything that I do and I think that it would be a great idea to take pictures of my adventure in space! That way when I would come back to Earth I could show my family the things i did in space and I could explain to them how all the equpment works with the pictures I took. Those are the things that I would bring to space to put in my locker if I were chosen to go!
